At Organic Rasta, we are loving. Earth-Loving,
Human-Loving & Creature Loving.

As we’ve mentioned before, we are deeply attached to Mother Nature- in the same way that
we are attached to our own Mother. In the same way, we believe that it is our duty to be
mindful to treat the soil where we plant our seeds with care by practicing crop rotation,
keeping our waterways free of clogging and avoid polluting the air with harmful chemicals.
Utilizing our resources efficiently is also an important part of preserving the youth of Mother
Nature, such as conserving water, recycling resources, and making use of animal manure,
compost and natural byproducts. After all, it is estimated that one third of the world’s global
soil is now degraded.
(1) This is largely in part because conventional farming methods focus
on quantity over quality and aren’t concerned with the long-term impact on soil quality.
Through practices of Organic Farming, however, we can promote ecological balance, reduce
land, water and air pollution and conserve biodiversity.
(2) “Overall, organic farms tend to have better soil quality and reduce soil erosion compared to
their conventional counterparts. Organic agriculture generally creates less soil and water
pollution and lower greenhouse gas emissions, and is more energy efficient. Organic
agriculture is also associated with greater biodiversity of plants, animals, insects and
microbes, as well as genetic diversity.” ~John Reganold is a Regents Professor of Soil
Science & Agroecology at Washington State University.
(3) At Organic Rasta, we not only have a commitment to Mother Earth, but also to those humans
that make the world as beautiful as it is… yes, that’s right- YOU!
First and foremost, our goal is to provide nutritious and natural food at an affordable price.
According to an article by The United Nations Foundation, “Nutritious food is often more
expensive and, in some areas, access to healthy foods is restricted or even non-existent. When
food prices rise, lower-income communities have no choice but to choose prepackaged,
high-carb and high-sugar options”.
(4) We believe that healthy eating should never be considered a luxury. By keeping our products
affordably priced and accessible to all, we aim to globally change the paradigm of good
health.
Additionally, we care about all the farmers that make all this possible. We have partnered
with farmers across India through our Farming Families Program.
During COVID times, we feel that supporting the local economy is crucial. Our Farming
Families Program allows the farmers to stay safely at home with their families, while earning
premium/fair pay.
We provide a portal to any eco-friendly producers who would like to market their products
through us. We believe that by working together with other environmentally conscious
businesses, we are more likely to create a positive change in consumerism today.
Last but definitely not least, at Organic Rasta we strive to do better for the coinhabitants of
our lovely planet. Many of the disadvantages of commercial farming also include its effects
on the creatures who were here long before us.
This includes marine biology, insects,
Pollutants like boat fuel, pesticides, fertiliser, sewage, and plastics cause “dead zones” – spots
where no organism can live – to form in the ocean.
Sustainable packaging for our products is a MUST, so we have chosen 100% recyclable
glass. These jars can be kept and reused in your own kitchen or home, recycled or sent back
to us to redeem our earth-friendly rebate offer!*
`The effects of soil erosion go beyond the loss of fertile land. It has led to increased pollution
and sedimentation in streams and rivers, clogging these waterways and causing declines in
fish and other species. And degraded lands are also often less able to hold onto water, which
can worsen flooding
